Mark Lynall, a BBC award winning controversial film maker from Birmingham England and one time guitarist of anarcho punk band Sensa Yuma (English Dogs and GBH), met former bassist for indie pop band Girl Without Fear, Monica Carter, through the L.A punk scene.
While Mark was cutting his teeth on tour with English hardcore punk bands such as Conflict, Monica was working as a music journalist and found herself appearing on radio shows such as Jonesy’s Jukebox with Sex Pistol Steve Jones and television shows such as VH1’s The Set with Duran Duran.
Although these two came from different music backgrounds, there were three things that drew them together: a passion for making music, a curiosity for the Occult, and a disdain for authority.
Putting a spin on their Punk and New Wave influences and wanting to address society about the injustices around them, the two formed Lucifer Army, using the name "Lucifer" with the original meaning being the "bearer of light."
Lucifer Army is in the studio now working on their debut album which will awaken listeners by shining the light on the truth behind long held beliefs, family values, and all forms of governmental, corporate, and religious control.
Lucifer Army’s …. EP will be released in August 2008. Their debut album ….. will be released in early 2009.
