The song is about someone I care about deeply who rejected me. Although she is not interested in myself romantically, I still hold her in high esteem and consider her a good friend. The song started out to be just an instrumental. I had no intentions of putting drums, heavy guitar, or any symphonic sounds on it at all. Each time I thought I was done with this song, I would want to add something more to it.

I thought I would have a more positive type message. It's rarely done in this genre of music.
